Spinal stenosis means narrowing around the nerves of your spine. This is often due to a gradual wearing down of the bones and joints of your spine due to arthritis. During this process over years the discs, which cushion the bones of your spine, as well as the joints can overgrow and encroach on the spinal cord. When this occurs, it can cause pain in that area of the spine. In the region of your neck, called the cervical spine, arthritic changes of the spine can also be associated with headaches.
We can treat the joints and nerves of the spine with injections, medications. These can calm down those pain signals coming from the nerves in your neck affected by arthritis causing narrowing and stenosis. In the cervical spine region these injections can also improve headaches associated with neck pain and arthritis.
We have many treatment strategies for this type of pain, and we look forward to helping you with your pain condition.
